Fractional Product Lead

A product lead in your team's channel every week, with answers within hours and real build time.

$7,500/month

3-month commitment. No month-to-month option, and no onboarding fee.

Fractional Product Lead puts a senior product lead inside your team. You get answers in your own channel within hours, a weekly sync or written report, and build time to keep shipping. We also turn the technical numbers into business numbers for your leadership team.

Access and capacity

  • Slack or Teams plus a direct line, answered within 4 business hours
  • A weekly 30-minute video sync, or a weekly written progress report
  • Capacity: 15 dev hours a month, banked 60 days (up to 30 hours)

What's included

  1. Platform protection
  2. Executive and board reporting
  3. Team alignment
  4. Security and compliance readiness
  5. Research and proofs of concept
  6. Engineering time

It's for you if

  • Your software is central to how you make money
  • Your team needs answers within hours, in the channel it already uses
  • Leadership, investors, or a board need the technical picture in business terms

It's not for you if

  • You don't need someone involved every week. Strategic Partner meets every two weeks for less.
  • You need a big build done fast. Add a Build Add-On to any tier for that.

1 · The deliverables

What you get, one by one

  1. Platform protection

AI output checked every week, connectors kept working, and permissions reviewed every month.

Every week we check your AI features' output against real examples. Connectors are kept working as the APIs behind them change, and every month we review who and what can access each system.

You receive: Weekly AI output checks and a monthly permission review.

  2. Executive and board reporting

Technical numbers turned into business numbers for your leadership team, investors, or board.

We translate system metrics into the business numbers leadership asks about, such as cost per transaction, feature adoption, and the return on what you spend on infrastructure.

You receive: KPI reporting your leadership team or board can read.

  3. Team alignment

We work with your marketing, sales, and operations leads, so releases line up with launches.

We work directly with the people who run marketing, sales, and operations, so each release lands with its go-to-market launch and fits how your teams already work.

You receive: Release plans your other teams have seen before launch day.

  4. Security and compliance readiness

Help with enterprise security questionnaires, and an architecture shaped around SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR requirements, with role-based access designed in.

We shape your architecture for the security questionnaires enterprise clients send, align it with SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR requirements, and design role-based access control. This is engineering readiness work. It is not a certification, an audit, or legal or compliance advice.

You receive: Questionnaire answers and an access-control design.

  5. Research and proofs of concept

New AI capabilities and automations tried in a sandbox before you commit to them.

We keep testing new AI capabilities and workflow automations in sandbox environments, away from your live system, so you can adopt what works early and skip what doesn't.

You receive: A short write-up of each test, with a recommendation.

  6. Engineering time

To ship custom modules, multi-step integrations, and database improvements.

Hands-on engineering for custom modules, integrations that run across several systems, and improvements to your core database.

You receive: Engineering from your monthly capacity.

2 · Month by month

How the three months run

  1. Month 1

    Get in

Access to your team channel and systems, the first weekly syncs, and the first AI output checks.

  2. Month 2

    Settle in

The first board-ready KPI report, release plans shared with your other teams, and the access-control design started.

  3. Month 3

    Look ahead

The first sandbox tests reported, the monthly permission review, and the next quarter's roadmap.

3 · What we need from you

Your part

  • The weekly sync, or 15 minutes to read the weekly report
  • Your marketing, sales, and operations leads, when a release touches their work
  • Access to your team channel and the systems we look after

4 · How it starts

Every tier starts with the $499 Diagnostic

The AI Operations Diagnostic is one week on one workflow, documents only: we map it, measure it, and write the scope for the first fix. Nothing is built that week. Its readout tells you whether this tier fits, or that you don't need one. Seven documents, in writing, covered by the All-Seven Guarantee.

You get $1,000 off your first month, the full $499 you paid for the Diagnostic, plus $501 from us, when you:

  1. Submit the pre-work within 48 hours of booking
  2. Attend both live sessions
  3. Start a Foundation tier's 3-month term within 30 days of the readout

5 · The terms, in plain words

The fine print

Term
3-month commitment. No month-to-month option, and no onboarding fee.
Refunds
Full refund within 3 days of your first payment. After that the work has started, and the 3-month term stands.
Best for
Companies where the software runs the business, and leadership wants a product lead involved every week.
Capacity
Limited to a few clients at a time.
Unused hours
Included dev hours bank for 60 days, up to 30 hours.
Extra hours
$350/hour outside a Build Add-On, agreed in writing before the work.
Build Add-Ons
Month-to-month, on top of an active Foundation tier. Turn one on, change its size, or pause it from one month to the next. Its hours are planned against the scoped build and don't roll over.
Third-party costs
Licenses, AI usage, and hosting are billed to you directly.
Ownership
Accounts and credentials are held in your business's name. Ownership terms for code and reusable components are set in your written agreement.
Changing plans
Step up anytime. Step down or pause at the end of a 3-month term, with 30 days' notice.

6 · When there's something to build

Build Add-Ons

Your dev hours cover upkeep and small changes. For a bigger build, add a Build Add-On on top of this tier, month-to-month, and turn it off once the build is live. Outside an add-on, extra hours are $350/hour.

  • Workflow Build: $3,500 a month for 10 dev hours ($350/hr)
  • Portal Build: $8,000 a month for 25 dev hours ($320/hr)
  • Platform Build: $12,000 a month for 40 dev hours ($300/hr)
